Build Your Own Chevy LS Crate Engine

 
"OK, you’re going to help build an LS7 or LS9, but the opportunity to take in hand titanium connecting rods, forged pistons and the other pieces that make these Chevrolet’s most powerful engines has got to be a gearhead’s dream.

The LS7 carries an MSRP of $22,756.10, while the LS9′s MSRP is $32,050, however the actual dealer price might vary, the automaker says. Customers get the experience of visiting GM’s Performance Build Center in Wixom, Mich., where they’ll team up with an engine builder to help assemble their powerplant from start to finish.
Once a customer orders one of the crate engines, a concierge contacts him or her to verify the order and help coordinate arrangements.
