Sareni Chevrolet Camaro GT Brings American Muscle to Euro GT3 Series

"For the most part, FIA GT3 racing is dominated by the Europeans. Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche all compete in the hotly contested GT3 Series. A new, more Murican contender is set to diversify the GT3 ranks this year when the German-built Sareni Chevrolet Camaro GT hits the track to take on the likes of the 458 Italia GT3 and SLS AMG GT3 for the checkered flag.

 Sareni United, the creators of the Chevy Camaro GT, was founded by Reiter Engineering for the sole purpose of fielding a Camaro in GT3 racing. Reiter owner Hans Reiter was inspired to build a Camaro GT3 car on a trip to the United States back in 2010 when the Camaro first debuted. 'I was immediately fascinated by the design,' Reiter said.
