Detroit Motor Show 2012: Chevrolet

 "One journalist from a US motoring magazine was walking round the Detroit Motor Show asking every company boss, designer and engineer how the industry should go about attracting young people back into cars. 


I was there at Detroit in 2000 when GM’s Pontiac division launched the Aztek, voted by Daily Telegraph readers as the ugliest car of all time. Brand manager Don Butler was feted like a rock star by a crowd of students supposedly moshing with joy at the launch of this stupendously ill-conceived SUV. This was the motor industry trying (and failing) to attract young people 11 years ago, so it's no wonder they haven’t come back in the meantime."  [Continue reading...]
